"We
especially loved the excellent meal at The Virginian!" |
 |
This was a great place
to stay. Thank you for your hospitality and for letting
Barry play your grand piano. We expecially loved the
excellent meal at The Virginian, and the accommodations in the
Herbert Hoover room were comfortable. Thanks Again!

"I'm
sure his spirit is still in that room." |
 |
What a wonderful
experience to stay in such a historical place.
Our room was a wonderful room, we had the Teddy
Roosevelt. I'm sure his spirit is still in that room.
Look forward to our next time.

We were so happy to have
the opportunity to stay here. Everything you see is
interesting and set in a historic setting. Such eye candy!
The energy here is great. The people of Buffalo are so
nice. We'll be back as we love it!

"We felt as
if we had stepped back in history!" |
 |
Having traveled the
country from coast to coast we have never come across a more
delightful place as the Occidental Hotel. We felt as if we
had stepped back in history. This is a must see for
everyone! Thanks Dawn - you're a wonderful woman for
saving this piece of the past.

"I woke up
and found I didn't want to leave." |
 |
Oct 7th - We spent the
night and had the best time ever. All the rooms are done
to perfection with just the right decor to make you feel right
at home. I woke up and found I didn't want to leave.
The food was excellent and we will always come back to the
Occidental when we are in town. Carry on with the rest of
the renovations they will only make the place complete. Thanks
again,

We had a wonderful stay

next year. What great history in this hotel and town of
Buffalo. Great meal at The Virginian! Thank you,
Dawn, for everything. See you next year. Sincerely,

"... this is
truly one of the best depictions of our history." |
 |
This hotel should remain
exactly as is. It is America's history. Very
important to who we were, keeping it is very important as to who
we will be. What a great experience. As a traveler
around the country, this is truly one of the best depictions of
our history.

"The
Occidental Hotel is a National Treasure..." |
 |
The Occidental Hotel is
a National Treasure and Dawn and John are to be commended for
their efforts and their personal investment to salvage this
important piece of American history.
We stumbled upon this treasure and will share the marvelous
experience with as many friends, family and business associates
as possible.

"It is very
special to see 125 years of history preserved in this
building." |
 |
The Occidental Hotel is
just a treasure and a wonderful place to stay and visit at the
same time.
It is very special to see 125 years of history preserved in
this building, and Wyoming being a young country this is the
entire history, captured in this place, hopefully for many
generations to come.
I would like to see this place continuing like this, a
combination of a museum and a living place were open minded
people meet and enjoy.
We all cannot be grateful enough to Dawn Wexo and the people
working with her to make this happen.
Please support her!

The preservation &
restoration of the Occidental Hotel is a fantastic
project. It would be tagic to lose this historic
place. It is so authentic you can almost feel the presence
of the characters who stayed here long ago.

Tongue River Middle
School - 8th grade. The people in this hotel helped history to
come alive for 33 people today. They better understood not
only how history changes their lives but also how the history of
this area and hotel continue to affect people even in the
future. One of the best tours we had.

The Crazy Eight Gang
pulled into town just before the hail hit. It was sunshine
all day - then August got cold. We came dusty and damp
with 160 miles under our belts, the views were
spectacular. The bikes have been true and roads continous
to dream. We couldn't stay long - one sleep is all we need
- as we continue east into sturgis. What a trip.

From the group of six
riders, Chicago, IL. We started our trip today in Jackson,
WY and made it through the Big Horn Mountains just as it started
to snow. What made it interesting was we were on
motorcycles. THis has been the finale to a week long bike
trip staying with you in this beautiful place. The
restoration is unbelievable. Great job. We really
enjoyed your place.
