During the Great Sioux War, the feisty cavalry general of Civil War fame commanded the Department of the Missouri – a territory that included northern Wyoming and other places where famous battles took place.   When the War was over, Sheridan traveled many miles to keep the Peace…and liked to visit The Occidental.

After a hard day in the saddle, the General found (as you will find) that the large Victorian Painted Bed in this spacious room is just the place to lay down a weary head.  The bed and many of the other fine antiques that you will find in this room are original to the hotel.

ALL ROOMS INCLUDE:

Central Heat & Air Conditioning · King or Queen Beds · Satellite Television
24-Hour Butler’s Snack Pantry

(Coffee, Tea, Cookie Jar, etc.)
