On the ground floor of the hotel, this was the
suite that aides to President Herbert Hoover selected for him when he visited Wyoming in
1932. He was campaigning for re-election at the time, and old timers
have assured us that Mr. Hoover enjoyed a very good night’s sleep and a very good
meal at The Occidental.
The bed in this suite is a lovely brass antique with a
fine Queen mattress that is (thank goodness!) not an antique. The bath is
small, but comfortable. The bedroom and sitting room are both paneled and decorated
in elegant period style. |
