The home of John B. Kendrick offers
its visitors an exceptional look into the lifestyles of the rich and
famous in Wyoming between 1913 and 1933.
Built in the Flemish Revival style,, the large mansion is filled
with things that illustrate daily life, entertainment, interior design,
and changing technology during the period.
Kendrick began his astonishing career as a penniless cowboy and
became the owner of a 210,000-acre cattle empire in Southern Montana and
Northern Wyoming. He was
elected state senator, governor, and then United States Senator, and
became one of the wealthiest -- and one of the most influential -- men
of his time in Northern Wyoming. In addition to its outstanding collection of original
Kendrick possessions, Trail End has also become well known for its
special exhibits illustrating various aspects of Wyoming
life. |
